"To boldly deliver some medical supplies" would make more sense

The pompous intro sequence makes no sense. It promises a lot, while the show delivers very little.

WHEN exactly does the Enterprise 'boldly go where no one has gone before'?

They spend all their time in places everyone has gone before. They're either near or in Neutral Zone, delivering medical supplies to some colonies, helping some morons get rid of a moon that's falling out of orbit ET CETERA AND SO ON.

WHEN the heck do they friggin' _EVER_ go where no one has gone before, let alone do it BOLDLY?

These people are as 'unbold' as they come!

What the heck? Why does the intro speech LIE so much?

It makes no sense!

Your premise is faulty. The original statement is "To boldly go where no man has gone before."

The phrase was modified for Star Trek: The Next Generation to be "to boldly go where no one has gone before," to be inclusive of females, who were in the original series as well. However, within context, they are still referencing humans, earthlings.

There are many times they go where no human has gone before.
