I'd give it a C
Not terribly impressed. It had its bright points-Rudiger Weigang was terrific as Axel. I also liked the college aged Pym, he was quite good. I thought it was a bit jarring watching the obviously older Peter Egan playing Pym when he was supposed to be in his 20s. Considering the 20 year time gap between episodes 3 and 4, I think it would have been better to switch actors then. I must say that on the whole I wasn't impressed with Egan's performance. Having watched Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, I was a little disappointed to find out that this was another treatment of the Kim Philby affair and felt it covered much the same ground.
