Do any other Morse fans watch Endeavour?

I was very sceptical when I first heard about Endeavour (a prequel series to Morse). I watched the pilot and was pleasantly surprised and I've been a fan ever since.

Shaun Evans does a good job of imitating some of John Thaw's Morse mannerisms and the actor who plays the young Max is spot on, he even looks and sounds like him! My favourite character in this is Morse's boss Fred Thursday(Roger Allam),he and Morse have a father/son relationship and Thursday believes in him when other colleagues don't, I think he should get his own spin off series.

Any other fans here who love the new series too?

I actually loved Endeavour so much I decided to get myself the Morse series(hadnt really seen that) and Lewis for after that(have seen some episodes)

I hope you enjoy Morse as much as Endeavour. Lewis is a good series but I've never liked it as much as these two series.

Actually Lewis is my favourite of the three.

I've been enthralled by Endeavour, which has been such a gift after having lost dear John Thaw at such a young age. Walking into such a role could have crippled many young performers; however, Shaun Evans does a phenomenal job of subtly paying homage to Thaw, while also making the young Morse his own. I just love his vulnerability and emerging strength and confidence. His relationship with the divine Roger Allam as Thursday seems awfully touching, as well as enlightening.

My biggest complaint has been the long time between the last series and the new one (at least for US viewers).

We liked Endeavour quite a bit, but Evans has stated he has never seen any episode of Morse.
