Who played "Swannie"?
Does anyone know who played the tramp "Swannie" in the Service of All the Dead episode? I scanned the cast several times, but could find no one to fit. Thanks.
shareWe never actually see the Swannie character. The tramp who left the church after supposedly killing Harry Josephs a church warden was actually Harry Josephs dressed as Swannie who was the brother of Lionel Pawlen, the vicar.
shareJohn Normington plays both brothers. You have to look hard into the murk when he wanders into the vestry but it's his voice asking for a drink.
