Location

For years now I have read on sites where people were confused by the sudden change of the show’s location from Indiana to California and the explanation is rather simple. "Good Morning Miss Bliss" was a show that was originally conceived for NBC, then it moved to The Disney Channel with a different cast. This was the first cast change. When Disney did not pick up the show it was moved back to NBC for the Saturday morning line-up. This second move came with another cast change and a new title..."Saved By The Bell." The show simply went through 2 revamps as it changed networks. With revamps shows change casts, locations, sets, etc. So this really isn’t a continuity error or a complete mishap by the writers or producers. I think the real problem came when the “Miss Bliss” episodes were shown on NBC or in syndication with the “Saved” title and Zack’s opening monologue. “Miss Bliss” became “Saved” with a complete transformation because the focus of the show changed from being about a teacher and her adventures with students to a show about teenagers and their relationship with a principal.
