milo = janitor?

in my opinion, Milo is not a janitor, but i have asked a lot of people, and everyone says that Milo was the janitor at Bayside. But if that's true, then why does Milo wear a suit to work???

reply

Wow I am a loser for knowing that.

reply

Milo must like to dress nice for the ladies at JFK.

I think he was a janitor... but also a teacher of some sort. Because I remember he was the one who had to fix things if there was a problem with maintenance. But also, I remember Belding introducing him as "Mr. Milo He is a teacher here" etc.

reply

Milo must of done a little bit of everything at JFK.

reply

He could have been like a gym teacher who also handled maintenance and odd jobs around the school, like a sub.

Milo was the facilities manager. Basically he supervised the janitor and cooking staff. And he also walked the halls to watch for students without hall passes.

Facilities Manager. Hmmm. So that's what they call the head custodian in PC times... You push that mop for all it's worth, Milo!!!

Does Milo really wear a suit to work?

TBS is currently in the process of re-running all the "Miss Bliss" episodes. I've seen about nine episodes so far. While Milo does wear a nice shirt, trousers, and a tie, I have yet to see him in a suit. Maybe one of the other episodes I haven't seen...

The only time I've seen him in a "hands on" janitor role is when he takes a baseball bat to chase the mice that Screech set loose. Otherwise, he just carries a clipboard and complains about things at a high level (class dance affecting the gym floor, Mr Belding's abandoned car in the parking lot) but I have yet to see him pushing a mop or a broom. I'd call him a "facilities manager" and its probably unseen custodians who's job it is to keep the school clean.

Only one thing doesn't seem right - he spends a lot of time as a hall monitor. It's probably that way just to keep the size of the cast down. Then again, when I was in junior high school there was a teacher who *loved* to roam the hallway and catch kids without hall passes.

reply

In my school, teachers with free periods would roam the halls to keep them clear of students and noise. I think maybe they had shifts.
