A 1974 horror anthology from Amicus Films FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE featured Peter Cushing as the owner of an antiques store. People who visited the store and bought items came to bad ends. Did the makers of FRIDAY THE 13TH THE SERIES see this film? www.imdb.com/title/tt0070078

I'm pretty sure that basic notion has been used many times. I have an old DVD I got at Walmart for a dollar years ago that has an old black and white movie (the name escapes me) with the same idea, even has the Devil in it.

No this was an old black and white movie from like the 30's or 40's.
