Volume 3

How about volume 3 including the under-rated Ducktales movie from 1990 ? I forget the name of the heroe duck but wasn't if Mega Duck ? Anyway the pilot wasn't on the first volume but on the second. Since the introduction of Mega Duck was a 2 hour made for tv movie, I wonder if they'll include that in the next volume. Maybe his introduction was even in season 4, I forget when he was introduced.

reply

I believe Volume 3 can hold the remaining episodes of Season 1, PLUS the two five-part specials of Season 2! Then, Volume 4 can hold the remaining 30 episodes of the series.

As for Mega Duck, I think you mean Gizmo Duck. And he wasn't in the 1990 motion picture. He was introduced in Season 2's TV movie SuperDucktales, which has been broken into five parts so it can be included on the next DVD.

reply

There's 48 episodes left, which means enough for 2 24 episode sets. And yes, season 1 (14) and the Gizmo-Duck/Bubba pilots (10) would comprise vol. 3. I only hope we don't have to wait another full year for it, otherwise we won't have the full show out until 2008.

reply

Well knowing how slow Disney is with their releases, we may have to. I'm surprised they didn't release The Chronological Donald Volume 3 this Christmas, as the first two were released in the fourth quarter.

reply

I don't care how they do it, how they present it, and how the episodes are set up... as long as there is a volume 3/4/5! Don't stop at volume 2!! I want MORE!

reply

I think they can stop at 4, because the remaining episodes can be crammed into two volume sets.

reply

They should cram Ducktales the Movie in there too from 1990 lol.

reply

They released it on a separate DVD, but not on Region 1.

reply

It's on Region 1, but it's just a Disney.com/Disney Movie Club exclusive, and you have to go through hell to get it.

I hope they release the whole thing - I really don't want them to pull a 'Gargoyles' and stop halfway through...

reply

I think they stopped Gargoyles because nobody was buying it.

reply

It's kind of hard for me to believe that Ducktales is selling that much better than Gargoyles...

"It's kind of hard for me to believe that Ducktales is selling that much better than Gargoyles.."

Why?

reply

If I were you I would buy the movie on Ebay

reply

No you mean GIMZO Duck He came in the same time Bubba and his pet dinosaur was in it was Season two.

reply

DuckTales is by far more popular than Gargoyles.

I don't think they will include the 1990 feature with the collection, 2 x 24 episodes seems extremely likely. I suppose we'll get the third set this fall.

reply

Guess what? It's finally been confirmed! Three more months!

reply

Cover art looks rather neat, and I'm glad that Disney has decided to release 24 episodes in this volume (leaving the last 24 for Volume 4). Plus, Tailspin also comes out the same day, but nothing about Rescue Rangers yet, which came out the same time as the two previous DuckTales releases.

There's so much pressure to like monkeys.

Sweet. All these years and I still haven't seen Launchpad's First Crash. All I know from the movie special is it has a giant-lobster thing in it...

Awesome, those are some of my all-time favorites! The DVD is coming. This is cause for celebration.

Everybody sing!

Life is like a hurricane,
Hear in Duckburg,
Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes,
It's a duck-blur.
Might solve a mystery,
Or rewrite history,
DuckTales- whoo-oooh
Everyday they're out there makin' DuckTales
Whoo-oooh
Tales of derring-do bad and good luck tales.
D-d-danger lurks behind you,
There's a stranger out to find you,
What to do, just grab onto some DuckTales
Whoo-ooh
Everyday they're out there makin' DuckTales
Whoo-oooh
Tales of derring-do bad and good luck tales
Whoo-ooh
Not pony tails or cotton tails,
No, DuckTales- whoo-ooh!

reply

I just got the set and there aren't any special features unless you count trailers for some movies and french and english subtitles. I hope they do some for the forth set.

reply

I doubt it. Volume 4 also has 24 episodes if I counted correctly, and they probably won't bother with anything.

reply

well who knows anyways Disney has'nt came out with a press release yet.
