I really loved this series when it was more focused on Scrooge and the boys' global adventures searching for lost treasure which were closer to the Carl Barks stories in the comics. I think the show started to go under with the introduction of the Bubba Duck character and making Fenton/Gizmo Duck a character that made more appearences than he should. Anyone else think the show went under with the overuse of the character diverting much of the attention from the main characters of Scrooge and the nephews?

There are worse characters than Bubba. Maybe people didn't like him at the time. Some people don't lkike Gizmoduck but he does have his fans. Besides if he was that unpopular he wouldn't make apperences in Darkwing Duck. I am a huge fan of Ducktales but series 1 will be my fave as we saw more of Launchpad. Series 2 was good as we saw more of Duckberg.

Really now, I've never gotten into the pre-Fenton episodes. But I really do love Fenton!
