Would make an animated movie with this serie?

I think that they would make an animated movie,of this serie.They could date in the cinemas,in 3-D.
What do you think about this idea?.

They did about 20 years ago and it performed poorly at the box office.

Which is a shame, cause it was actually a pretty decent little movie.
