Was Pixar Influenced By the Disney Afternoon

We all know that CG titan Pixar Animation Studios are influenced by the golden eras of animated features from the Disney's very own feature division, aside from several of the Hayao Miyazaki films. But do you also believe that Pixar is influenced from animated TV shows of a 2-hour TV block, "the Disney Afternoon"?

Here's an overview: most of the Pixar films have original stories based on original but far-fecthed ideas (such as toys coming alive when humans aren't around or an old man ties thousands of balloons on top of his house as a means of transportation). The stories also emphasize on characters' relationships.
For several of the Disney Afternoon shows (such as Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck and Bonkers), they also have original stories based on original ideas in unusual but interesting ways. The shows also focus on characters' relationships (most notably the bond between Baloo and Kit Cloudkicker and the bond between Darkwing Duck and Gosayln).
Most of all, both the Pixar films and the Disney Afternoon shows have great heartbeats (can you compare Jessie's loss of her original child owner to Bonkers D. Bobcat's loss of his partner, Lucky Piquel?)

Anyone agrees on this?
