Are the DVDs edited?

Do the Ducktales DVD have censored versions of the episodes? I watched a youtube video of a fan saying the episodes were cut, but I could not find a definitive answer.

I'm also wondering the same thing about the other Disney tv DVDs like Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers.

Why would they do that? What's to edit out?

Sometimes they cut things out for the syndicated versions (so there will be more room for commercials) and the original footage that was cut out deteriorates, so they just put the syndicated versions on the DVDs.

Far as I can tell, they're the uncut versions.

They're uncut. The Disney/Toon Disney airings had the gun violence cut out (Scrooge pulling out a shotgun in Super Ducktales, Part 1 was cut out), but it's there in the DVD version.
