Happy 21st Birthday, DuckTales! You are now officially an adult!

...as of yesterday. (I'm lazy.)

Anyway, wow, has it really been that long? I wasn't even ALIVE in 1987!

Share your fond memories of it here.

I actually got into DuckTales because of the movie "Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers." I saw it on Toon Disney one day, and the Beagle Boys interested me, so I looked them up on Wikipedia and I found out they were on this. So...I stumbled upon one of the greatest shows in the world pretty much by accident. Thanks, "Three Musketeers"!

I first watched it back in 1991, when I was seven years old. I'm mostly into the 3rd season, partly because it has been shown more in Sweden than the other seasons, and partly because I have a cartoon crush on Fenton.

I just turned 21 on September 2nd.
I grew up watching Ducktales, I loved Scrooge before i could even talk, and when I was 5, I told my family I wanted to marry him.

Weird, but a good sign of fan appreciation. If I the first comic I ever read was never the Gladstone issue where Scrooge meets the micro-ducks, this show, along with Darkwing Duck, would never had been one of my all-time favorites growing up. Makes me remember all the times I rented the movie (6 or 7 times?). My greatest thanks to you, Scrooge McDuck.

There's so much pressure to like monkeys.

I feel old.

I've always kinda hoped they would revive Ducktales, or just have a couple one shots or direct to DVD episodes type thing reorganizing the whole cast again. Alan Young is getting up there, so that kinda idea won't be realistic for much longer, esp since Hal smith died already. Guess we can't have Gyro of Glomgold show up...oh well, it's just been a wish of mine for years, and I know it will never happen.

I always get giddy everytime I hear Young and Taylor reprise their characters for those Mickey Mouse specials, so I guess thats as good as it's gonna get.

Wait a minute. I just noticed something. The Beagle boys weren't in "The three musketeers", were they? Wasn't it Pete, who was the villain of that movie? Well, that's just me being picky.

21 years old (not 20 years old, which would be more logical) used to be the age, when you became adult, until the 1970s, I believe. But nowadays, it's 18 years old. But 21 is still the drinking age in the US (it's 20 here in Sweden). So I guess you can say, that you're still a minor in some ways until you're 21 years old.

Pete was the main villain and the Beagle Boys were his henchmen.

Ah memories. I was 11 when the show debuted and enjoyed watching it after school. It really sparked interest for me in drawing, animation, Disney, Carl Barks, and I even wrote 3 fan fiction stores based on Duck Tales before I knew what fan fiction was. So fun!
