shareConsidering the quality of the Disney Shows nowadays, I wouldn't have such high hopes for this one.
shareWhile Disney has been on a roll lately with their animated programs, I'm not terribly excited for this revival. But that's more for the fact that I'm honestly not much of a Ducktales fan to begin with, despite my love of the comics.
The reason I never really got into it was because even as a kid, I found the writing to be rather watered down from the Carl Barks stories, lacking his trademark cynical satire which made them so endearing. Now I don't exactly dislike it, the writers' hearts were in the right place, Launchpad is a great character, and it did introduce new fans to Barks and Don Rosa, after all.
I notice that Donald isn't listed in the article, but Ma Beagle is, meaning individualized Beagle Boys again (ugh!).
So perhaps I might enjoy it given Disney's new talent, perhaps I might not. But as I said, I'm of a minority here in terms of enjoying the original.
EDIT: I know Alan Young and June Foray would most likely be signed up for the new show, but I'm reallllllly worried we're going to lose them before or sometime after the show's debut.
"DO NOT WRECK THIS GIGANTIC DOOM."
WOO-HOO!
"Every day they're out there making Duck Tales, woo-hoo!"
I will miss the old cast though, especially Alan Young (Scrooge McDuck) and June Foray (Magica DeSpell). And let's face it, the original cartoon was something incredible and special, this reboot will have to be just as good to be a success.

Love Ducktales. Will definitely give this a shot when it comes out.
Hopefully, they won't screw it up like they did with the remake of Xiaolin Showdown.
I would prefer it if it was more of a continuum than a reboot.First couple episodes of redone intro then new stuff.
shareI ain't holding my breath for this to be any good.
shareWithout Alan Young as Scrooge McDuck, I am not interested in any reboot.
What Disney CAN do is release the rest of the original series onto DVD, or just put the whole series on BluRay. Please and Thanks!
...
Agree with that, about the DVDs. They should release a Full Series Collectors box. And this time, put they in order. Why did they put the first episodes, Treasure of the Golden Sun, on the volume 2 DVD?
shareFunnily enough, I never bothered to look up the order of the episodes, I got out my volume 1 set today to watch again, and found out Send in the Clones is about episode 44 instead of episode 1, which WOULD explain why Magica and the Beagle Boys and Scrooge's dime are all already established...still, not a BAD way to begin the series in my opinion.
shareWell, they're certainly going to have a lot to live up to if they try to continue much-beloved, original Disney Channel cartoons such as this, but I'll try to have hope for it being (almost) just as good. Don't know how realistic that is, but I definitely hope that they strive for the same style, spirit, and humor. Good to know that all the characters are coming back. They ought to re-air DuckTales (and all the other classic toons that I think should always be showing at some time on their schedule!) alongside the new episodes.
🐩 Power!share
If they're going to do a full on reboot, I'd really like for Di$ney to pull out all stops and animate a feature length animated prequel based on "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck".
When theres no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.share
That was more or less done in the series to begin with
Also Tress McNeal could do Magica
