Question about the portrait

Di Eric take Stephanie's portrait down when he put Quinn's up? 😱

I couldn't tell if that was the same spot Stephanie's picture has been at.

reply

Yes, he replaced Stephanie's picture with Quinn's...!

reply

Oh sheesh ... as the movie says ... the *beep* will hitteth the faneth. 😧

It also tends to spell out that marriage won't last long.

A plot spoiler within itself.

I don't get B&B's infatuated with portraits lately. First Maya, then Stephanie and now Quinn. First thing I would do if I saw my portrait up there is ask Eric to take it down... I'd be so embarrassed lol. Like is that actually a thing? Do people really commission portraits of themselves to hang over their fireplaces? That seems kind of conceded, except of course it was Eric's idea.

reply

I honestly don't think it's all that unusual, especially if it's like a wedding photo perhaps. A close friend of mine has a very huge similar type photo of his wife hanging in their den, in her wedding gown. I saw this at someone else's home as well several years ago. My Mother had a large one of me at the age of 16 hanging in our living room. Perhaps it may indeed be a little strange for people to hang them of themselves, but no one has actually done that so far, except for the one that the character of Victor Newman on Y&R has hanging in his office.

reply

Oh okay. I've honestly never seen them before but I understand someone else hanging a wedding photo, etc. l guess just personally I wouldn't want a giant picture of myself on the wall, but I understand some people would want to honor a specific moment

reply

There's a portrait of my Granny in the living room of her and Grampa's house. I think Mom and Uncle Shaun had it painted from one of his favorite pictures of her after she died.

The Ewings of Dallas had one of Jock Ewing

Dorian Lord of OLTL had one of herself. ... In fact, her portrait was such a staple to her role on the show that they actually gave the portrait to the actress, Robin Strasser when the show ended.

So did Dorian Gray. 

Wait till Ridge and Ricky boy see it they would have a fit.

reply

Only on a soap could anyone get a portrait done of someone in her wedding dress and get it in time to hang above the mantle by the next morning.

Yeah it's that which tends to spell out the Eric-Quinn marriage won't last long ...

... because we all know Stephanie's portrait will eventually get put back up.

More than likely with Eric apologizing to Ridge saying he just didn't see Quinn for what she really was.
