Why are Ridge and Steffy acting like they've "won"?

He's just going to marry her again once he wakes up. And married or no, it's Eric's house and Eric's company and Eric invited her to live there and work for him. Even if he dies, he might have already altered his will and left a bunch of sh*t to her so she could very well end up getting the house, company, etc anyway.

And where do Ridge and Steffy get off telling her that she isn't family, when biologically they aren't either?

I know right!!! What do they think will happen when he finally wakes up?! Weren't they in the room when he gave them a piece of his mind and declared his his love for Quinn right before he collapsed?! He'll just have another ceremony, if that's even necessary, and make sure things are signed this time. Pompous Ridge and self righteous Stephanie are both too ridiculous for words.

I know. And Steffy hugging Wyatt for standing up for her... She does know that's his mother, right? She'll definitely be back.

-Who is it?
-It's Grandpa. And it sounds like he's gotten into the horseradish again.

He had a brain aneurysm/hemorrhage and generally that causes damage to the brain (see link). So maybe he will wake up but will not remember some things (maybe everything)? Quinn will eventually learn of the POA and the fight over Eric will go on forever!

Maybe life is a dream and we wake up when we die?

It isn't Eric's company. Steffy is the largest shareholder, all Eric can do is give away his shares.

But I agree regarding the rest of it. It makes no sense, Eric will only be angrier than before that they are ignoring his wishes. Unless they are hoping that he dies.
