Carter...

...would NEVER keep such a secret. He could be disbarred.

reply

Well the guy doesn't know much on giving good advice on relationships so I can see him keeping a secret and then getting disbarred.

reply

I agree. It is very unrealistic to thing that any lawyer would be willing to risk this for a client.

reply

Is he a corp. lawyer or just a lawyer?
As for keeping the secret it could get him suspended or disbarred if found out.

reply

Carter is risking getting disbarred, and I am very disappointed that he let Ridge bully him into keeping the truth from Quinn.

reply

He should be disbarred for even entertaining such a cover-up. I hope Wyatt sets i in motion.

I don't think Carter agreed to it. He yelled back at Ridge on it ... then stormed out.

What he does next will determine if he keeps the secret.

The next step would be for Carter to send Quinn an official letter telling her she has POA. Carter telling her by phone or in person is completely unethical since it's unofficial.

In fact, if they could even have the plot where Ridge intercepts the letter to prolong the situation while still having Carter legally in the clear.

Whether the writers actually thought of that or not is the question.
