Is Ridge forgetting all the times ...

... his mother Stephanie warned him not to marry Brooke?

And did Ridge ever listen to her?

No ... he married her every single time.

How could he expect anything different of Eric?

reply

Has he always been such a mama's boy?

reply

Yes

reply

She must be the only woman he respects. I was a little uncomfortable by the way he manhandled Quinn at the hospital.

Since TK came on they have changed the Ridge character. This whole thing with him and Thomas never would have happened before. They loved each other and Ridge supported his son. I remember one time when Rick and Thomas were fighting and Ridge told Rick never to touch his son again or he'd be sorry. Would that happen now?

reply

The same. Ridge still loathes Rick. Just my opinion.

Typical sexist. You wouldn't care if he did it to another man, or if another woman did that to her.

reply

Yeah but did Brooke ever push anyone off a cliff?

-Who is it?
-It's Grandpa. And it sounds like he's gotten into the horseradish again.

reply

no. she just carried on an affair with her son-in-law and got pregnant by him. and that's just one of the several affairs she has had where I think the person who suffered most in the affair would have rather been pushed off of a cliff.

Brooke never attempted multiple murders or kidnappings.

reply

Drugging someone and getting them in your bed to destroy their relationship with with someone else isn't kidnapping, but it could be considered abduction. Didn't Brooke do that to Ridge and Taylor? This was years before I started watching and Brooke/Taylor/Ridge were the old Hope/Steffy/Liam, current Liam/Wyatt/Hope now Steffy.

Abduction and holding him hostage.

And are you forgetting pushing Ivy off the bridge, or pushing Deacon 40 feet off a cliff? Those are both examples of attempted murder. It doesn't matter what she's done, she is untrustworthy after that.

reply

I've never said Quinn wasn't nuts, but I do believe people can change. As I've said before, if they can return from the dead, they can get new personalities.
If Quinn doesn't snap while the Forresters are treating her like sh!t AND keeps her cool when/if Eric wakes up and learns about his ingrate family, I think the writers will keep her sane, but not saintly. Characters who are too nice are boring, like Katie and Hope usually are/were.

People are forgetting that these are not real people. They can be whoever the writers want them to be. They have made Ridge and Steffy into the most obnoxious unforgivable characters on the show at this point. I wish they would both get knocked off a cliff, frankly. And I wish Wyatt would grow a pair and tell Steffy to take a hike.

reply

I second that!

At no time has anyone claimed that the characters in this show were real 

I don't recall Brooke drugging Ridge, but I do recall Taylor drugging him, and he slept with Taylor while he was still with Brooke because of some pills that Taylor had given him for anxiety or something, and Taylor was so sad and pathetic she knew that was the only reason it happened. Even though the current storylines have been compared to the Brooke/Ridge/Taylor triangle, for the most part Ridge always chose Brooke, aside from sympathy times for Taylor because of them having kids together.

Brooke always had Ridge's heart which is why Taylor hated her so much, because she knew it. I think the only time that Ridge truly fell for Taylor was at the very beginning, when they got married I think in the Virgin Islands, or maybe engaged , because I think he had gotten out with Brooke over her interference of a letter that Caroline had written him...but for the most part he never stayed conflicted much when it came to Brooke..Unlike Liam, Ridge left Taylor standing at the altar not once but TWICE, and ran straight to Brooke, something we never saw Liam do, because they've written him as a weakling.

I think HOPE was where Liam's heart always lied, which he told Bill himself after Steffy had the miscarriage. The writers have just tried to rewrite Steffy as some true love, which is utter BS. Most of the times that Steffy did end up with him, it was because of some "Quinnish" type manipulation on her part that caused trouble for Hope and Liam. We all know Steffy really wants to be with Liam more than Wyatt, which is the real reason why she hates Quinn so much. I actually wish Hope would come back, and Liam realizes where he said his true heart lied, and he rides off into the sunset with Hope, and Steffy ends up stuck with Wyatt and Quinn for a while.....MISERABLE!! Instead of Ivy coming back, it should have been Hope. Ivy was never anything but a rebound to start with!!

reply

Yeah, but she was the most likable female character on the show (to me) until the "you murdered Aly" storyline. Even then, everyone who only saw what Ivy did said it looked bad for Steffy. In addition, Steffy had already lied about why Aly fell and hit her head. She didn't trip, Steffy whacked her with a tire iron.

I still liked her when she was accusing Steffy simply because I love to see Steffy squirm LOL. It was wrong, but the only thing I didn't like about it was the way she kept acting as though she was doing it "for Aly." If she wanted justice for Aly, she should have turned the video over to the police, not used it to become a model.

I think that Ridge loved both Brooke and Taylor. I think that he saw that both as offering something different to him. There were multiple times that he picked Taylor over Brooke as well. My mother always said that Caroline was his true love and if she hadn't died Brooke would be in Taylor's place. I didn't believe her until Caroline Jr. came on and he started talking about her. Now Ronn Moss was a terrible actor, but when he was talking about Caroline he was very believable. Also Ronn Moss did say something to the effect that it was Caroline for Ridge.

I definitely agree with you about Hope and Liam. Like Taylor and Brooke, Liam found something that he loved about both. I think that it started about sex, with Steffy, but I do think that Liam fell in love with her. But I do think that his true love is Hope. I know that you don't like her, but the only time that I ever liked Liam was when he was with Ivy. He seems so pathetic when he's with Steffy or Hope, but he was okay with Ivy. I wish that they didn't change Ivy's character into being pathetic over Liam. He isn't worth it. This show has no respect for their female characters.
