Did Quinn plan all of this?

I didn't see Quinn back in her bad girl days ... but today when she booted Ridge & Steffy out of the company when Eric didn't even hint for her to go that far, along with what she recently did by firing all of the Forrester security ... I couldn't help but wonder if this was some master plan for her to take over FC all along.

Thoughts??

reply

Knowing her history, that actually wouldn't be surprising.

reply

It is more than possible. And this certainly did seem like an overstep on her part, but if their feeling are genuine, I can't blame her for wanting to keep ridge and Steffy at a distance considering the way they have been treating not only her, but also Eric- even when he had barely come out of his coma.

reply

I'm hoping they don't go there but it does seem like Quinn was redeemed too easily and at some point, they are going to have to twist the plot.

Not sure where Quinn stood with Ridge getting the shares from Brooke by her marrying Bill but it's possible this was her plan to try and beat Ridge in that game.

reply

It probably has been her plan. I don't think Eric is going to like that she has taken it this far. Quinn has acted like she wants Eric's family to accept her, but I can't see how by her doing this.

reply

It is very likely.

I have been thinking that Ridge and Steffy have been a s s holes to Eric considering that he is sick but now Eric is seeming like he is out of his mind. Falling in love with the crazy is somewhat understandable but putting the crazy in charge of your financial empire makes him officially a doddering old fool. They should do whatever they can to protect him from himself.

reply

I can see him putting her in charge of his medical decisions, but NOT the company. That's absurd.

reply

I guess I am the only one that thinks Quinn genuinely loves Eric. In regards to him appointing her acting CEO, I think he did because his whole family broke his heart, and he doesn't trust them especially Ridge. It is entirely possible that Eric told Quinn to fire Ridge and Steffy. He knows better than anyone that both of them would defy Quinn, and sure enough Ridge did just that. Ridge is an arrogant bully to say that he would run the company, regardless of what Eric wanted. I say good riddance to Ridge and Steffy!

Wonder is the seed of knowledge.🐈 

reply

I like Quinn and Eric, but I never saw old Quinn. She didn't fire them or ban them from the company did she? I thought they were demoted.

Opinions are like armpits: Most everyone has two and they usually stink. But have a great day!!!!!

reply

I am with you also. I think she is simply following his orders. She worked way too hard to get Wyatt and Steffy together, to go to such lengths to kill his happiness. As far as the security, she explained that she did that because they worked for Ridge, and I don't blame her. She would not be firing Ridge and Steffy unless Eric told her to.

reply

She would not be firing Ridge and Steffy unless Eric told her to.

They never showed him saying that and I am sure they would have if he had. He said he wanted her to watch out for his interests. It is a huge leap to fire Ridge and Steffy. Besides the fact that this is all so stupid because no one can fire either of them. In a situation like this the shareholders would agree that Eric is not in his right mind and they would take steps to keep someone like Quinn far from any management position.

reply

Does anyone remember what Wyatt's reaction was to Quinn announcing Ridge and Steffy's demotion? If he looked at her weird, that would imply Quinn is doing this on her own, but if he didn't then likely Eric told her to do it.

I don't think they would have necessarily showed him telling her to do it because it lessens the emotional impact of the episode when she actually does do it. It wouldn't have been anywhere near as exciting a cliffhanger if we knew for a fact that it's what Eric told her to do.

reply

I think he told her to do it off screen. I may be wrong, but it seems if she took it upon herself to do this, without Eric's consent, she'd be worried about his reaction. To me, it seems some viewers are so worried about whether Quinn is sincere, that few are enjoying the storyline as it unfolds. I think the storyline involving Eric and Quinn is the best thing this show has portrayed in years. Why don't we all just wait and see. Regardless, she did easily sign a prenup, and this is a hell of a lot better than Steffy/Liam/Wyatt. Quinn may have been a lot extreme at times, but she is FAR from the first character on this show that deserves to be in jail, and didn't go.

reply

Don't get me wrong. As it's been portrayed, she does genuinely love Eric, and I hope they don't eventually retcon that to say she was only manipulating him (she's been shown thinking about their relationship way too often for it not to be genuine feelings on her part). I'm just saying that it's absurd to give her CEO powers when she isn't qualified.

Of course years ago, Bill made Katie CEO, and I don't think she was qualified. She actually made a pretty good CEO despite the Forresters and her sisters trying to sabotage her.

When Quinn told Ivy "Good call" to keeping Pam away ... does seem in support of this suspicion.

We'll see....

reply

That bothered me a little bit, but I can see why she wouldn't want people who hurt Eric to upset him. Ivy was the only family member who was at their wedding.

"Leave me to do my dark bidding on the internet!"

reply

Yeah but we're not talking about Ivy here. We're talking about Quinn keeping Pam away.

Next thing, Quinn will tell Pam that Eric can't have her lemon bars due to his health then turn around and have lemon bars brought to him from the deli.

It's possible they just want us to suspect the possibility of something else going on though.

One of those things we just have to wait out.
