He was 2 years old this past summe, now he is like 6 years old?

She is probably talking about preschool, the 'rich & famous' think that if their child doesn't get into the 'right' preschool, then the 'right' prep school, etc., their child is doomed to fail in life! 

Maybe life is a dream and we wake up when we die?

If it was another kid playing Zane, the kid would be older, but since it's Heather Tom's actual son, they'll probably keep the kid the correct non-soras age.
Although apparently baby Lizzie can already say she wants a sibling...

You can start school at 2. Usually only lasts a few hours.
