Can someone please explain... Ridge/Brooke/Bill

I just recently started watching this show again a few months ago after not watching for years (Started watching this show when it first aired 25 years ago). Anyway, can someone please tell me what happened the first time Brooke & Bill were supposed to get married in Dubai? Why did Ridge show up? Did he and Brooke remarry? And how did he get together with Caroline? He sure seems to have gotten over her quickly. Now he's madly in love with Brooke again, I'm calling BS on that!

I saw a couple scenes but wasn't watching much back then, so my memory may be fuzzy. I'm not entirely sure why Brooke and Bill didn't get married, but Ridge showed up to stop the wedding but wound up getting dumped into the Persian Gulf instead. Somehow Ridge lost his talent to draw. He began partnering with Caroline, who was able to act as his hands and draw designs for him. The two became close and shared a kiss, which lead to her divorce from Rick.

This is true, but Brooke called him on it in the latest episode. What she says is great. I won't spoil it for you.
