It's like she was such a better character with a lot going on before they made her trans gendered. The character has become useless.. only used to move other character's story further. Even the Rick character is like just there.. ..

shareThey ruined her, that's what happened. She's a deplorable character, completely self absorbed. And she had the nerve to confront Sasha with her stinkface on when what she really needs to do is shut her pie hole and mind her own damn business.
shareI am really disappointed with the writers on the whole Avant story. They overcasted with the parents, the initial intolerance over transgender plot was quickly swept under the rug and those amazing actors are now super cool with every aspect of everything -even living indefinitely in a motel room while everyone else they know in LA lives in a mansion. (I know I have a hang-up about sets lol)
The repetitive cycle of soap story archs usually conceals itself by using different characters or allowing time in between. But not with Maya/Rick and Nicole/Zende/Sasha. Nicole has her sister's baby, Zende can't cope, cheats with Sasha. The baby she gave to Maya isn't even a year old and the only storyline for any of these characters is Maya/Rick pressuring (and insisting they weren't pressuring her haha!!!) Nicole to be a surrogate AGAIN, and the thought of that causes Zende to fly to an island with Sasha and cheat with her.
I am tired of the writers' shortcuts and what seems like laziness. The show actually has good actors, I wish the showrunner didn't take that for granted.
I could never stand Maya. She was always so fake...always playing the victim. I still haven't forgotten how she carried on with Rick knowing he was with Caroline...then they tried to make her the victim when Caroline was interfering in her relationship with Rick. Maya and Rick tortured Caroline because Rick was salty about her and Ridge. So, I didn't feel really any sympathy about the transgendered thing...and the stuff she went through.I wouldn't care if they wrote Maya off the show.

I liked Maya when she first came on. I really liked her with Rick the 1st time around and I was never a fan of Caroline with Rick even when Caroline was nice. When they put Maya and Rick back together I didn't like either one of them because I didn't like how she treated Ivy and especially Aly. Even when it came out that she was transgender I still didn't like her. I felt that they were trying to redo everything that made people not like her and make people like her again. It didn't work for me.
shareI think Maya may be written out if Rick is going to fall for Katie. Maybe there will be a triangle with Eric and Rick and Katie. I'd be sad cause I love Eric and Quinn.

Rick can't fall for Katie. That's his aunt. They're biologically related. I know that Bradley Bell is into incestuous things, but I hope that he doesn't go there with that.
