I don't buy Ridge's Love for Brooke anymore

Even when he's asking her to come back to him, he hardly looks like he cares. There's no passion.

When Brooke and Ridge (Ronn Moss) married (for the fifth time, LOL), I thought they finally got it "right." Especially since Brooke had "ascended" and gained Stephanie's love and approval.

Fast-forward to the "off-screen-break-up," where Brooke came back to town, alone. Ridge left her because SHE AND DEACON TALKED ON THE PHONE?!

Ever since he came back to town, he has treated Brooke like they never shared a history, much less, a "Great Love."

The writers have spent way too much time getting Brooke and Bill together, to have Brooke swayed by Ridge's bland, apathetic, and pathetic "Come Home Logan."

I find it hard to believe that Ridge cares about anything TBH. I'm just not a fan of Thorsten Kaye's acting. I think I was in the minority who didn't really think he had much Caroline with Caroline, and I don't see it with Brooke either.

reply

I think TK is a very good actor. I definitely saw the chemistry with Caroline, I believed he wanted her. I see potential chemistry with Quinn. I see nothing with Brooke. I don't believe that he really wants her.

But it could be that he doesn't really want her for her anymore. He seems like he wants to do this for his son, and then there is always his hatred of Bill and wanting to take something away from him.

It's funny because on another thread someone said that his character is just like his Zach on AMC. I don't see that at all. This character is such a whiny, privileged brat. Nothing like Zach Slater. But I figured this is who Ridge has been all along.

I so agree. And KKL has lost any sex appeal she used to have. I don't buy her with anyone, other than when she was with Eric.

reply

Agreed. Ridge was more or less like "let's go", and Brooke obviously wasn't into it

-Who is it?
-It's Grandpa. And it sounds like he's gotten into the horseradish again.

reply

TK is a good actor, but he doesn't have any chemistry with KKL. They should have killed Ridge off and brought TK on as a new character.

reply

As I said in another thread, no chemistry with Brooke at all.

In fact he has more chemistry with Quinn than anyone I've seen him with on the show so far.

reply

I agree Soapwatch, him and Quinn seem to have chemistry although right now its based on anger.

This Ridge is just so different from Ronn Moss I don't see the point of scenes with him and Brooke. And RJ seems like a waste of a character so far too.

Hopefully she really does marry Bill. I liked that he got upset with her for engaging Ridge. Pick a lane Brooke!

I hate how Bill talks about her as if she's a soon-to-be possession, but I also hate how she follows her crotch - I mean heart - and destroys other people's lives. And I hate Bill. Not a fan of this storyline at all.

She hasn't "destroyed anyone's life". If you are female, every female in the world of your own species is your competitor for males, including your own mother. Sometimes you win, and sometimes the other chick wins. If you are male, every male in the world of your own species is your competitor for females, including your own father. Sometimes you win, and sometimes the other dude wins. By your logic, everyone ruins everyone's life.

Not everyone is competitive.

Yes! At least Quinn gets a reaction out of him!

This is just the typical Ridge dance. When Brooke doesn't have anyone he doesn't want her and when she does then he wants her. Now that she's back not having anyone, he won't want her anymore.
