So Steffy is married to her

Uncle Wyatt? Wyatt is Eric's "son", so? (I know he didn't adopt Wyatt yet)

reply

Wyatt hasn't been adopted and I don't think he can at this point being well into his 20s or early 30s. He is technically her step uncle through marriage though so yeah, kind of gross. And Quinn was both Steffy's mother in law and step grandmother.

Bold and the Beautiful always does this though. Brooke was married to both Eric and Ridge, so for a while she was Ridge's stepmother. Only loop hole there is Eric isn't technically Ridges father, so genetically it's okay. And Ridge has dated both Brooke and Katie, and if Bill marries Brooke she'll be her nephews stepmother.

-Who is it?
-It's Grandpa. And it sounds like he's gotten into the horseradish again.

Obviously the OP was being sarcastic...BUT we did see Eric adopt a VERY grown Marcus!!

It isn't gross. He's not her biological uncle; as such they can have healthy children. Sex is only gross if it's unnatural, and sex is only unnatural if it cannot result in children (or is likely to result in low quality children).

Even if he was Ridge's father, it would still be genetically okay because Brooke is not Ridge's mother.

Contrary to popular belief, even siblings are not all that likely to have a child with a genetic mutation. Besides, your theory would mean that sex between any two people with genetic defects is unnatural. I agree that incest is wrong, but not because it is "unnatural." Animals will breed with their close relatives, so how can it be unnatural.

I do not have attention deficit disor...Ooh, look at the bunny! 

I'm sure the chance for mutation is higher with siblings. I've heard "keeping it in the family" can lead to some pretty significant genetic issues down the line. Bleh

It's a bit higher than with unrelated people, but it's not as high as people make it out to be. People act like if siblings reproduce the kid will almost certainly have an arm growing out its forehead or something.

But it's likely enough to warrant concern. That's why Westermarck effect exists.

It is. We are biologically programmed to seek out sex with the healthiest and most attractive organisms we can find in order to produce healthy children.

1. Because it does not contribute to the improvement of the species, which is the entire purpose of sex. Animals also commit homosexual rape, but it is still technically not natural since it does not produce children.

2. I sincerely doubt these animals who engage in incest are doing so on purpose. They probably left their families and forgot, and then met their relatives again as adults. Surely they wouldn't do that if they knew they were related-again, we are biologically programmed not to do it because of Westermarck effect.

We really should flowchart this!

I did actually once see a B&B relationship flowchart on YouTube once. It lasted about 15 minutes and went at about 100 mph. My brain was fried.
