...could a soccer ball survive on the Forrester grounds of the estate undetected for 40 something years?

shareLast week or so, Katie (Heather Tom) brought an old deflated soccer ball to Eric which she said she found in between their yards.
Eric laughed saying it must have been Ridge and Thorne's from when they were little.
Okay, didn't Rick play ball too when he was growing up with Steven Hartman in the role?
Evidently for 40 years or more there's been no gardening to have found this deflated soccer ball. It's pretty unrealistic. I found a ball in my hedge when I had the gardener trimming it, but it was only lost for six months. I can't see 40 years with it suddenly showing up now, especially in a wealthy area like they're supposed to be living in where they have the best manicured lawns & gardens.
