Anyone know why V and C never consumated their relationship?
I think it is because of their bond made it so that they never need anything more intimate and touching then other ordinary couples.

shareI've read many opinions on the subject - Their bond did make them emotionally intimate, but I believe they both longed for more - In many fanfics Catherine is quite confident they could make love while V fears 'losing control' & hurting her unintentionally - He doesn't know 'what' he is or what he's capable of, therefore creating the 'impossible dream' of being together tension
sharethey kind of hinted that in an episode dealing with a ballerina, and depending on who you talk to they consumated in season 3 premeire
shareSpiritually they did consummate the relationship just not in the way that most people vision it to be. They kind of make it seem like a immaculate conception of their child. Sort of like the power of love made their child rather than the power of sex in the original context would make a child, if that makes any sense. It would for people who believe in love. I love how their son was made. as for the episode concerning the ballerina I think it was different because Vincent did not necessarily love her he left it for her. With Catherine he knows the difference between lust and love.
shareWell, the reality of it is that it was down to network politics, so the writers had to constantly write around it. I've always assumed they did consumate their relationship, but hey...
