I've bought two copies of this movie and both don't play. They been tried on two different dvd players. There must be bad copies of this movie floating around. Its odd how I got two bad ones.
Anyone else having/ever had this problem with this movie?
Working in retail I've noticed that some titles just don't work on certain machines. I've got no technical explanation for this but if you tried one of those VAMPS on a different player, my bet is that it would work. It's weird, but I've noticed this quite frequently.
Its possible you may have gotten different region dvds that dont fit yr machine. There was a closeout sale at a video store that was selling copies of X-Men 2 for $5.00 but it was later discovered that they were region 3 versions that were shipped by mistake. The merchant new this but decided to get rid of them in an "as is"sale. Most people dont think to look at the specs because we always assume that we're getting compatible material.
Also my dvd player wont play dvd-cw or bootlegs, so if yrs wont then you may have gotten some bootleg versions.
I've got the Anchor Bay release of the DVD, and now that you mention it my DVD of Vamp freezes about an hour into the movie. It also had troubles reading the disc the first time.
An early pressing of Vamp had problems ...I sent mine back two times before recieving one that worked fine and my brother and a friend also had bad ex of it...
