The Producers should remake it, keeping the cast names

A remake would bring in a ton of money because of the Harry Potter connection. JK Rowling and her filmmakers couldn't sue because the original was made back in 1986.

Who owns the rights to this? I'd quite like to buy it myself.

It IS being remade by the original writer/director. Google "Troll remake".
