How would they make a Trick or Treat sequel anyway?

I mean...the record was destroyed when Eddie smashed his stereo. Eddie destroyed the tape that Roger played at the Halloween dance...Leslie destroyed the master tape that Nuke had at WZLP...so, what's left? Unless there's a copy of Sammi's record that was never revealed, I don't think a sequel to this movie will ever happen. Comments?

If you remember, they did play the album over the radio on Halloween. All you would need was someone to record it (all or some)and play the cassette again. Cool idea: Have someone going through their box of "old" cassette tapes and BAZZAMM!, out flies electro-wanker from the speakers. I think a sequel is essential, I saw this movie in the theatre and every halloween since it came out on video, I love it! JUST NO MORE FRIGGIN' REMAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have the right idea for a sequel and it would also give Marc Price some work. He could return as Eddie to help get rid of Sammi Curr again. With the whole P2P file sharing and Napster thing going on I don't see how this hasn't been thought of. You could have Eddie monitoring the internet to looking to stop Sammi from coming back. Somebody write the screenplay.

File sharing Sammi Curr on the net is a great idea! Pissed I didn't think of that myself!

If anyone is interested to know it. I have somewhat done a sequel/takeoff of this film. Trick or Treat has always been my very favorite movie. I havn't typed it up (still scribbled in notebooks.lol.) and am still iffy on how to end it. But I really did spend a lot of time writing a good script/book that has very similar storyline. Though I'd still like to think of mine as an original storyline. Guy up above did grasp onto some of what goes on in my story though with the whole new technology of downloading and internet leaks. Anyways, the story is called "Publicity Stunt" and I think today's Hollywood would be all over it. Anyone wanting details on my story even just for curiosity, hit me up with a reply on here. I check this every few weeks. Rock on!

In regards to the list of copies that were described in the start of this. Does anyone recall the white cassette tape that he made first and was listening to on his walkman in the "66 crush" scene. Then he listens to it in his car as he speeds away from the school? Can't recall if that copy was destroyed as well. If not, there you go. The idea of someone taping it off the radio broadcast is good too though.

reply

That cassette was in his car radio and playing when he tried driving to the high school to stop Sammi. After he disabled the car he ejected the tape, pulled out the thin cellulose tape, and then hurled it into the river below the bridge.

But I agree that someone would have definitely taped it off the radio given that it was pre-announced long ahead of time... something radio stations never do any more, even though there really isn't any 'threat' of people taping off the radio anymore.

SHE EITHER COULD HAVE DESTROYED THE WRONG ONE,OR MAYBE NUKE MADE AN EXTRA COPY THAT NO ONE KNEW ABOUT.

I READ SOMEWHERE THAT A SCRIPT FOR A SEQUEL BACK IN 1987 WAS WRIITEN.THEY PLANNED ON MAKING A SEQUEL,AND THEN THEY DIDN'T.

That wasn't Sammi Curr, that was a demon (fallen angel) who imitated Sammi Curr. Demonic entities can not die until an appointed time. In the meanwhile, they are free to roam the Earth and cause humans misery. So, it's just a matter of finding a contrivance to bring back that particular demon so it can resume imitating Sammi Curr and terrorizing a new generation of metal heads.
