Other movies with rock/metal music

The only rule: The music has to be featured in the movie (if it's only on the soundtrack, it doesn't count). It can be just one song, but it has to be memorable like the theme Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988).

I'm sorry, but this is not a very good topic. It's too general. There must be hundreds of movies that fit your criteria. A few that I can think of off the top of my head that aren't on your list are Suburbia, Streets of Fire, Purple Rain, Crossroads, The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle, Sid and Nancy, and This is Spinal Tap. And what about musicals, like Rocky Horror Picture Show or Voyage of the Rock Aliens? Do those count? There are also animated features like Rock and Rule, and there's harder-to-classify stuff like Pink Floyd's The Wall and Give My Regards to Broad Street.

What I'd like to compile is a list of heavy metal-themed horror movies similar to Trick or Treat. I think there was another one called Black Roses, and then there's Hard Rock Zombies. Any others?

Actually, I wanted as wide range as possible, so everything you mentioned and suggested is exactly what I ment. There are too few of these movies to separate them into subcategories.

A movie that fits your description would be Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare (1987)http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093873/ for instance. But it's serious "less than B movie" stuff. Songs are better than the movie.

I haven't seen Suck (2009) yet, but it looks ok and has a few cool cameos.

There's a thread here that lists some of the metal-themed movies:

That thread mentions:

The Gate(1987)
Rock N'Roll Nightmare(1987)
Black Roses(1988)
Shock 'Em Dead(1991)

A couple of other good ones from the 80s:

Incident at Channel Q (various)

Fright Night (April Wine - Every Night I Rock Myself to Sleep)

'Bad Channels' is quite a nice litle one, made to promote Charles Band's record label.

Even if you hate Uwe Boll, give Postal a try, be offended or entertained.

There was a Charlie Sheen movie called The Wraith back in like 86 with Mötley Crüe, Judas Priest, Billy Idol and killer 80's rock like Trick or Treat. AC/DC did everything on Maximum Overdrive. Those Estevez dudes liked hard rock back then. Lol
