Who brings a Polaroid to high school?

Seriously, at the beginning of the movie that chick takes a picture of Eddie with a Polaroid camera. I don't remember anyone having a camera like that when I was in high school in the 80's.

I had one but I certainly wouldn't bring it to Judgmental High of all places.
