I feel so bad for Shatner, who is a brilliant re-actor, trying to work with her. She seriously got through this one on her nipples alone.

She got banished to 7th Heaven with Stephen Collins who played Decker.

She was just a touch amateurish, but I've seen her carry other roles, e.g., as the jealous, murderous bitch in Bill Murray's version of The Razor's Edge - a C-minus film, but with solid performances.

Her character came across an neurotic so I probably wouldn't marry her.

I think her stock in this film would have gone up with a couple of nude scenes. 👌

In the history of Star Trek there have been some truly horrendous performances, compared to some of those this performance is Oscar-worthy. I honestly don't see what's so bad about it myself. It's not a great character and doesn't have the best dialog, but it's not terrible in my opinion.

There are lots of movies where the casting is so obviously wrong that it actually bothers me in first viewing. However I liked Hicks in this and thought she did a great job. Also, I don't think Nimoy would have worked with her if he didn't like her.
