Just am watching this movie for the first time in about 18 years...It's better than I remember.
The trivia: the guy behind the counter in the convienent store that Ray robs is wearing a Talking Heads t-shirt. The Talking Heads of course are the band that David Byrne, who also was involved in the film, was in.
Another nice bit of trivia is the casting of Sue Tissue as a random wife in the High school reunion scene. If anyone remembers, Sue was the lead singer for one of the all time most excellent new wave bands the "Suburban Lawns". Anyone around the scene in LA in the early 80's would know this. Funny

It was also interesting to see director John Waters make a cameo as a car salesman.
