a very intriguing character to introduce in the midway point of the film. i feel she added some needed fuel to the plot-line.

Sure I did...that's why I posted! I just feel she's not random, but I see what you meant now. That whole album is good if you can find it. The Baby in a Bag song {Not Allowed maybe?} is great and so is 'Anything'.

Yes, Su is very intriguing. She was a perfect singer for the Suburban Lawns. I knew she was in this film when i watched it and was hoping her scenes were longer. She seemed a bit awkward but then again she never likes interviews in real life. She's so soft spoken and sweet, i just wanna hug her. Wish she was still acting or singing today instead of being an attorney (which i've heard she is in Cali).

She was very quiet and soft-spoken in this movie. Obviously never acted before, but that's OK. Demme knew that but brought her in anyway. I thought she was a very sweet, likeable presence and I liked her scenes. He had a lot of non-actors in this movie and it added to the realism and texture overall.
