Not exactly like the events of the movie, but have you ever met a stranger and on a whim you decide to 'be with them' that same minute? I guess what I'm asking is.. is their situation realistic?

shareI had a situation when I was younger at a bar. A girl I didn't know just came over and sat on my lap and started flirting with me. An ex boyfriend then comes over to talk to her, she whispers in my ear to just play along. She tells the ex I'm her new boyfriend and we've been dating for awhile.
Ex tried to act cool but I could tell he was pissed. Kept buying us drinks so he could hang out and chat.
She finally said we've got to go and grabbed me by the hand and left. She rewarded me later for playing along.
It reminded me a lot of the scene where they are in the car and riding around and went to the liquor store.
I thought fo awhile I'd have the crazy ex come find me, but never ran into either one again.
Noooooo. That could turn out badly. For every fun adventure there's a rape or a beating or worse. Sorry to throw cold water on it. Never *beep* a stranger, girls.

shareI think the 80s and early 90s were much more free-spirited and you could find yourself in strange situations easier than you would be able to today.
