Song Playing When Ray is driving to New York

In the movie there is a song playing while Ray is driving the Volvo station wagon to New York to find Lulu & Charlie. It has no vocals except for a slight "yo" that keeps getting repeated. Anyone know what the song is? The song playing before it (even though it was around 5 minutes earlier) was "Zero Zero Seven Charlie" by UB40. In the scene and the same song is still playing, Charlie and Lulu drive & see the Twin Towers & Lulu tells Charlie she doesn't want to go to her apartment and Charlie tells her she can stay at his place. The next song to play is "Cherokee Chief" by Jerry Harrison.

BTW, i love this movie. Such a fun watch. Too bad they don't make 'em like this anymore. Thanks.

Woo hoo! found it. it's "Pili-Pili" by Jasper Van't Hof. And wouldn't ya know it's listed right before "Cherokee Chief" by Jerry Harrison, in which the order it appears in in the movie. I think others were also looking for this gem of a song so now, we can all enjoy.

Not sure what the song is, but I just want to point out this movie also has a few ambient themes in it that really contribute to the movie's atmosphere. Anyone know the artists?

The score is credited to John Cale and Laurie Anderson, who have used alot of ambience in their music. I hope that helps.

The original soundtrack uses music from Jean-Michel Jarre's "Zoolook" album (1984) to build tension as Ray is en route to Charlie's house.
