The song that is played as they are all going to the old school, and also when the Credits at the end roll? Who is singing it?Sounds like Marty Himself! You tell me what you think????? It is still Cool none the less!!!!!!!!!
Hi there, not sure what that song was called but i thought it was definately Marty,it sounded just like him.I thought that was actually a good horror movie, better than "Happy Birthday to me".Don't know why that guy killed himself though(The guy who played Marty)any ideas?
I have this movie on VHS and I just watched the end credits, it read like this: Music published by Alma Viva Music Publishing. Theme song by Harry Manfredini & John Caridoi.
I had heard Simon Scuddamore (Marty) suffered from some hardcore depression, he rarely hung out with the actors behind the scenes, it was thought he was just trying to stay in character, but their may have been more to it. It is sad, but his memory will live on as long as horror fans continue to appreciate and recommend this great movie to friends.
How do u know that he barely hung around with the other actor's on set? the only way that i think anybody would even know that is if they were on the set themselves, since it seems no one really knows a thing about this film and went went on with certain stuff. Since there hasn't been a commentary, or any interviews with directors or actors about this flick, i dont see how you could really know that. Also, the trivia on here for this movie is CRAP and tells u a very useless piece of info. (something about a poster) So tell me lad, how do u know this? I know that this kid killed himself because Joe Bob Briggs said it was from depression over his father? He abused him or something. I would think that's true, there hasn't been anything said on this guy at all, i wonder where you could find any info on this dude.
"How do u know that he barely hung around with the other actor's on set?"
I heard this some years back on a show on TNT called MonsterVision hosted by Joe Bob Briggs, the aired Slaughter High one night and Joe Bob filled the audience in.
PS. By your post you seem like a very angry dude, there are pills for that you know, believe me I do. Never deny a horror fan his opinion. It ain't healthy.

Yeah, sorry bout'that. I wrote that a while ago, back in April of 2006. Who knows, I may have been made at something around me that happened in the REAL world.
I'm a son of a chiropractor...don't believe in taking MOST pills unless its necessary (which is rare). A lot of that stuff can screw you up.
well, not Marty...but, how about Simon Scuddamore? I think it was Simon who sang that, i really do. Quite a horribly done song too, sometimes you can barely hear what he says. Its comical though, good for a chuckle. In fact there are many more nominations for chuckles in this film then just that song.
I tried getting the song and had no luck. I emailed the guy who did the music for the movie and he told me that he did not have access to the song and it was owned by soem European company who, as far as he knew, no longer existed. if anyone does find the song please let me know. Its goofy as hell but I've always gotten a kick out of it.
I was looking at the credits and Simon isnt given credit for it. It says Theme song by Harry Manfrendini and some other guy, so im guessing that the "other guy" sung and stuff. I think a little bit of Manfrendini's music is in the song, but not the piece with the guitar.
That rock song thing was pretty cheesy actually, sometimes you can barely here what the dude is saying. Some of it i guess it quite...catchy. But, pretty cheesy.
to the person who was asking how the other poster knew that simon didn't talk much w/the cast and crew and that they thought he was staying in character...joe bob briggs said that on monster vision
Yeah, you can't really hear the lyrics, but what I seem to hear is...
"Strut your stuff believe your cool Hottest gang in all the school Today's the day you're gonna pay I'll show you I ain't no fool I'm gonna get you. I'm gonna get you. I'm gonna you! Ha ha ha! Going for your dirty tricks THey make you laugh they make me sick Today's the day you're gonna pay I won't take your kicks Ha ha, April Fool's Day, ha ha ha!"
I think the one thing that many of us on this board may forget is just how rare it is to find people who have actually seen this movie. It's one of my all time favorites, sure it's cheesy, but that's part of its charm. To this day the only way I could ever talk about this movie is on the internet, we horror fans are a breed scattered across this earth to spread the word. So brothers and sisters, let's keep these classics alive by talking about them and introducing them to the "newbies" out there.
Hey, I am also very interested in finding this theme song...I mean, I like campy music like that! That's why I am a fan of The Dickies and I love 80s movie soundtracks.
I don't think the song sucked, and I would be very happy to get a copy!
