What I think on the ending...

When i first saw the ending my mouth dropped halfway open (not all the way)

I think that its one of the most strangest things, some would say it doesn't make much sense, i didn't think that however. The whole movie starting from when people get killed, was a good dream for Marty then turned into a nightmare.

If you're interested, sit back and enjoy. Because like i say, if there is one, then there are more. Meaning...there are more who wonder about an explanation to certain things, this one deserves to have one.

You can't be too sure about this one, but it would make sense that the scene at the end also took place 5 years later. Because Marty wouldn't have a dream taking place 5 years later would he? It just doesn't seem right to think that. So we can assume that he is haunted by this a lot, he has the dream of killing all of them, then becomes beaten in the end by his past demons.

The dream we saw, was probably one of the many that he had! So think about it, he had that dream, which was of course of the many, and he just snapped that time. Like, he really just couldn't take it anymore. He went crazy, woke up, killed the nurse (took her clothes obviously) then killed the doctor who walked in. He walks over to the mirror and begins to peel his face off. At that moment, it ends and were left with a What the *beep* That's what i was left with. Haven't seen this movie for 5 years (nor did i get to see all of it...damn my brother.) So now what do we predict will happen after? I would like to think Marty escapes and does exactly what he did in his dream. Make a fake reunion, blah blah blah. But how unlikely is that? Very. But its still more fun to think that he escapes and actually kills all those horrible, horrible brats now isn't it? However if he really did this i would imagine cops or security, or someone else heard the commotion and called secuirty, and they race in and hastle him to the ground and cuff the poor lad. (i say poor lad but I still know that he is sick and twisted) That's what would happen in the real world. In the realm of the slasher film, he would escape, make a phony high school reunion, kill ALL those bastards, then maybe committ suicide like Scuddamore did, or just live on like a total hermit. I really, really hate when I or someone else seperated the movie realm from the real world...it hurts me inside. And please dont say "You thought too much about this" because this message is just for fun, and interesting thoughts. I certainly had fun writing it.

btw...doesn't Simon Scuddamore (Marty) remind you of Micheal J. Fox(Marty)?

See you in the funny papers.

I think the nurse said something about taking off the bandages after two weeks. So perhaps it was not a dream but a prologue of what was to follow. On the other hand, it may be tragic that it was all a revenge fantasy in his head. That would mean those astonishingly cruel classmates have gotten away with it and are living their lives unpunished!

I like your explanation Derek, I never liked the "it's all a dream" thing so I'll just assume that from now on.

Thanks Kanano for the heads up!

Yeah, I have a firm conviction that there is a Law of Compensation always in motion.
