And what was used for the high school building? It was unlike any I'd ever seen!

Well, apparently it was filmed in Holloway Sanatorium according to one user who wrote to a crew member... its in Virginia Waters, within a few miles of Royal Holloway university (where I plan on going next year, haha.) Another says it was filmed in an old school. That seems a tad more likely, however, I do know a lot of music videos were filmed in Holloway Sanatorium during the early through mid 80s ("Slaughter High" was filmed in 1984)...
