Crush on Marty

I just saw this movie on On Demand this week. The guy who played Marty wasn't all that bad looking. They just put him behind those big glasses. I would have made out with him had he asked nicely. He probably knew how to please a woman

I was heartbroken when I read that he committed suicide not long after this film. R.I.P. Simon

I thought he was cute even though they had him fixed up like a super nerd. But then, I kind of have a thing for super nerds. He was also so much better looking than the "good-looking jocks"!

Consider me *beep* Willy *beep* Wonka, this is my *beep* chocolate factory! Got it?!

reply

I've always had a thing for nerds too! All of my friends make fun of me, but I don't care. I've dated both jocks and nerds, and I can assure you that nerds are much better lovers.

Well, since I'm a guy, I don't think he's CUTE...but I always thought he looked like he could be a really cool guy, maybe someone in a punk band or something...he just wore big glasses and scrunched up his face, so he looked more geeky.
Underneath the odd facial expressions and glasses, he didn't look nerdy.

Poor Simon...wish someone coulda helped him before it was too late.

This movie blew ass. I watched it on demand, and Marty was a bastard. Dude the guy died in 86 and people are still mourning his death. You got innocent kids getting killed by random gun fire, and your mourning the loss of a b actor who died in 86, after 1 sub par acting performance. Wow seriously get a life

I don't think that feeling sympathy for an actor that was troubled enough to off himself, is off base or wrong in any way. It is not the end of the world, it is not as bad as "...innocent kids getting killed by random gunfire...", but that does not mean that expressions of mild sadness on a message board for the ONE film that the deceased was in are wrong or bad.

Simon Scuddamore was quite sexy, it is a shame he committed suicide.

What does this have to do with myspace. People have their own opinion on this movie. Mine was that is was a terrible movie. I think its funny when desperate girls give there 2 cents on how they have a crush on someone who has died in 1986. Its pretty pathetic to see these people spew there love over someone on an imdb message board, also I look in the mirror every day and I see someone who is successful, at leats I know that I go out on saturday night, and im not sitting on the computer posting on imdb. You got faced n i gg a

You really don't realize how ridiculous you sound, do you?

I saw no one on this thread "spew there love" over someone. Simply stating that you find someone attractive is something completely different. But I guess I shouldn't expect much from someone who doesn't realize the difference between 'there' and 'their'.

I also think it's hilarious how you called me and the other girls on the thread desperate because we said we thought Simon was cute. Jealous much?

The people that come on IMDb talking sh*t to people that they don't know and brag about how much of a "successful life" they have outside of IMDb are the ones that usually don't.

So you are telling people to get a life yet keep coming back to this forum just to tell people that..Im pretty sure you are the one who needs to get a life..The people said they never mourned the deaths of kids that died recently or anyone who died recently, BUT this forum is about the movie and actors in it. So why in the world would they discuss whats going on somewhere else besides this movie or actors that were in this movies' life? I would say the same if people went on a forum about the Japanese Tsunami and people were talking about this guy dying...Grow up a little bit. Just because someone died 26 yrs ago doesnt mean people stop mourning...You really never get over someones death

wow, i guess i should be more nerdy if it turns girls on...

well i am a horror nerd so that counts.

but anyways, hbbbtitoortiz, you are so hypocritical its funny. there are millions of people like you on imdb. you say how this movie sucks and we suck for liking it and then when someone comes back at you, you yell at them for NOT RESPECING YOUR OPINION. what a funny dude.

i thought marty was a babe.

he kindof reminded me of Gerard Way.

reply

Ok I don't find Marty or the actor that portrayed him that attractive but he's definitely not the worse i've seen...

But ladies...did any of you take a look at Marty's "3rd" leg in the prank-in-the-shower scene ...wow he was packin'!

LMFAO ... That was ... I don't even know what to say XD

The huge glasses covered up half his face, but when he took them off, he wasn't bad looking at all.

reply

I don't think he looked that nerdy *shrug*. I'd bet that he wasn't at all a nerd outside the film.
It's really sad that he took his life after the film :(.

I don't even know what nerds are supposed to look like to be honest. They don't look any different than anybody else to me. But according to movie logic (not just this one, but just about every movie ever made that features a "nerdy" character) all you have to do is put on a pair of big glasses and you're a nerd.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

reply

He wasn't bad looking at all.
