WTF..empty school

What gym class have only 8 students?This movie is a wreck from the start.And what school is in the middle of no where.And the explosion,why wouldn't the whole school start coming out of the classes.

I thought school was already over and they were doing after school activites, like Marty was staying after school to work in the chemistry lab

Yeah..they were held after school...then again it's an 80's low budget slasher film.

Did you not finish the movie?

The ending answers any questions you may have had about the film's questionable plot and setting. Considering that it was all a dream Marty was having.

Only the revenge scenes were Marty's dreams. Everything prior wasn't. Did you finish the movie?

1. the gym class was a punishment after school (that's why the coach said he wanted to see the bullies at 3:40, and school ends at 3:30). so this was simply a punishment, so only the bullies came.

3. poor filming location. if it was meant to be a private school (where you pay to attend), that is however plausible
4. same as 1. This is happening after school, so many people have already gone home. also, it is implied the gym is near the chemistry lab, and so the bullies are first on the scene. they also know exactly where the explosion will be taking place so can get there faster. it's possible that other people came too, only they were first on the scene. you see the coach running out of the gym after them when the explosion happens
