Please help me to find a movie I've been trying to find for 15 years

First of all I want to apologize for my English. I'm from Russia.
The first and the last time I watched it was in the mid. 90's on TV when I was 5 - 7 years old. I don't remember much of it but it's about a heavy metal rock band who's leader is accused of a murder. A victim was killed by a guitar string. At the end main character commits a suicide on stage but the audience think it's a part of a show so nobody panics. There was love story too. I don't remember any more details but it was impressive especially the final scene. If something above doesn't fit to your suggestions I'd be pleased to hear it anyway cause I might be mistaken about some pieces of the plot.
And it's a DRAMA. Not a horror movie.
