Since with the exception of Sid Vicious, apparently everyone found Nancy Spungeon obnoxious and annoying at least based on John Lydon/Rotten's autobiography, the actress basically did her job.

lol - yeah she made the film painful to watch.
The problem I had with the movie was she was just so unlikeable, I never saw any chemistry develop between the two. It was just like they were together for the sake of the movie.
It would have been nice to see scenes that showed why Sid liked her or fell in love with her.
I agree. I think the actual Nancy Spungen seemed like an interesting person, definitely had some kind of mental health issues, but Chloe Webb was absolutely unbearable.

Chloe Webb can very well take the blame for her terrible portrayal of Nancy.
Webb took it waaay over the top - especially with that voice.
