I thought that Boyle had finally caught a break at the end after being sh!t on for the entire film then when the police came on the bus and took Marie and the kids away it was just heartbreaking, James Woods was terrific in that scene and I had nothing but sympathy for Boyle.

I had more sympathy for Maria and her kids. They were as good as never seen again. A refugee camp in Guatemala on to where? I almost don't want to know what happened to them.
shareJust watched this movie - and really that exact scenario is played out over and over again. You as a US citizen do not have any control w/ someone you love if they don't have papers. You can sit and watch while they are carted away - and if you interfere you are arrested. Very true to life - especially in today's anti-immigrant atmosphere.
