Since its release I have thought that Charlette was Lucys aunt but watching it for the 100th time, in 2014, I notice a line.. Charlettes introduction to the new vicar, in Florence: This is my young cousin, "Lucy". So.. Charlette and Lucy were cousines?

Yes, they were. I'm not sure if they were first cousins, or if Charlotte was the first cousin of Lucy's mother. Poor Charlotte!
