shareYeah but why would you want a remake done when it would not be the same like the original movie because you would have some writer or director change and alter the movie that is completely different from the original movie.

I'm sure they'll never remake this. Probably use the title because it could work for anything.
It's too dark to be PG13 and too light to be a Hostel/Saw horror fest.
Hollywood is looking for stuff that will "FIT IN" with the movies around it.
So this would only be cool as a movie made for theaters not direct to video which is where it would go in the movie market that's there.
It's not that over the top except for Edna and Charlie and they won't translate well into the 2000's as they did the 80's. They don't do nudity in horror as sleazy/sexy anymore and that's how it works in this.
Always keep in mind that history does repeat itself so possibly this would be remade in the future due to how things are now. I would say it would be redone again.
