Did anyone here actually see this in a movie theater?

If so, what did you think?

Was there anyone else in the theater with you?

What was the crowd size?

reply

Saw Psycho III with my girlfriend in a theater. A few screams but no different than seeing any other horror movie. Nothing specific as far as I can remember. It is a good movie.

reply

No. Saw it on a regular TV.

It was OK.

Thought "Psycho 2" was better.

reply

Psycho II was better...but the first hour of Psycho III was amazing

reply

Funny you say that as I tend to agree.

reply

Did you like Psycho: IV?

reply

Eehh, barely remember it.

Olivia Hussey? RIght?

It wasn't a theater movie it was a TV program I believe.

Can't say if I liked it or not because one can barely remember it.

I did watch "Bates Motel" on and off.

reply

It was an HBO movie. Correct.

reply

Ok sounds about right.

Anthony Perkins wasn't even in it, correct?

reply

He was!

He was the poster boy for the HBO ads.

This movie was a big deal for HBO at the time...

reply

Really?

Well I missed out.

Ok thank you for clarifying.

All right, about to time to start working out.

Nice chatting with you today.

Oh and BTW, Olivia recently passed. What a shame - she was beautiful.

Actually, and lastly, was it any good? Meaning "Psycho 4".

I'll check back in later.

reply

The ads.

The magazine and TV guide and HBO promo ads all featured Anthony Hopkins in the lead.

reply

It came out in 1986 and I saw it. Don't remember the crowd size because that was so long ago, but it was generally well received at the time if I recall correctly

reply

WOW...Did you see it in a theater?

reply

Yes. It was good with a standard crowd size. Very good followup to the better PSYCHO II

reply

Good for you!

That's amazing!

I was being a bid snide...so cool it must have been.

reply

It was so long ago so movie going was a little different back then without social media to promote it. You had to rely on Fangoria Magazine back then for your horror lineup

reply

I bet.

Lucky you...
