It doesn't matter how many times I see this I still LMAO at the same parts. I used to own this movie, but I showed it to my ex b/f who had never seen it before. That night it disappeared. Stupid jerk.

Oh by the way, did you guys notice the father of the rival boy, was the dad in the Twisted Sister music video!!! He was very funny in that video "Were Not Gonna Take It!"
You must be young. That role was a revisit of his role from Animal House. In order to truely enjoy this one you need to be able to clearly remember the 80's. There were many jokes that were pretty dated. For example the Godzilla scene was classic. There was also the Jaws scene knockoff, and the attitude of Ack Ack's father was vintage 80's. Namely due to the Cold War. The visuals were also very common for that time period.
shareYou don't necessarily have to remember the 80's to really enjoy this movie. I was born in '89 so, therefore, I remember nothing of that decade...But "One Crazy Summer" is a movie I've been watching ever since I can remember. It is considered, to me, a classic. This movie s awesome.
