Does anyone else think this movie is pretty much a sequel to "Better Off Dead"?? I know its not really a sequel but really Hoops McCann is basically Lane Meyer let's be honest. Plus they both were written and directed by the same guy.

Hoops never wanted to be a Jock. He knew there was no way he could ever be a Jock. Everyone expected it of him, as his father was a great ball player, but HE wasn't and never had any illusions that he was.
Remember, he was trying to win a scholarship in art to go to ART school.
