I live there buddy. This place is a nice island. too many freakin cars in the summer time. Trust me. The waterfront looks like in the movie. The Boat, was found in the dump, but my friend saved it and revamped it.

I'm from Massachusetts, my cousin was in this movie. At the beginning when the kids run out of school, he is the one waving his arms wildly.

I was working on Nantucket (for the summer) when this was filmed in the summer of 1985...sadly never got to see Demi during that time though it does bring back great memories...can not believe that was over 25 years ago.
